Kingman Park — Free Trashcan & Recycling Bin Repair

Eligibility notice: You are ONLY eligible to have your cans repaired if a flyer was placed intentionally at your residence with this offer.

Kingman Park residents: can and bin repairs are FREE for select addresses — compliments of DC Rat Solutions.

As a part of a research project to explore the efficacy of various rat abatement procedures, we are offering certain addresses in Kingman Park free repair of their trash cans and recycling bins. In order to have your bins repaired we need your permission to do so, and we ask that all residents in the study area fill out this form so we can track whether or not you've been made aware of this option, and what your choice is. When you enter your address below and fill out the details and hit submit, we will tell you whether your address is eligible or not.

Stop The Rats will attach strong metal mesh to patch all of the holes in your trashcan or recycling bin to prevent rats from getting in and eating food on the day after the trash pickup. Almost all holes can be patched, whether they are on the top, back, sides or bottom of the cans! Further, most cracks can be repaired. Rats will go away when they no longer have access to food.

Can or Bin repair is FREE for select addresses, compliments of DC Rat Solutions. Optional 3.5" vinyl address numbers are still $3.50 per can.

We will come and repair your cans within a month of receiving your order. If you indicate your cans are locked up, we will notify you 24 hours before we're coming and ask you to put them out, or come on a trash pickup day to repair them.

Please don't overfill your cans, ensure they stay sealed when not in use and that the lid closes tight! Thank you for helping us keep the rat populations as low as possible!

We will be working between May 26th and June 5th.

By signing up for Stop The Rats repair service, you give Stop the Rats permission to come in and work on the cans anytime between 8am and 7pm daily unless you've indicated that the cans are in a locked location and you have not provided a code to access them.

Please let all of your living partners know that you've signed up for this service, we've shown up to work on cans and surprised other residents who didn't know we were coming.
